Arts In The Park

Arts In The Park takes places the last Saturday in September at the Eldon City Park and the first Saturday in October at the Linn Creek City Park. This event is sponsored by local child advocacy groups. The Lake Arts Council participates and provides an arts & crafts hands on experience for the kids. This event is free to all children. Crafts, art, food, games and entertainment are all part of this fun day.

Missoula Children’s Theatre

Missoula Children’s Theater The Missoula Children’s Theater has come to the Lake for the last four years. It has provided the children of the Lake area, from kindergarden to high school seniors, with the opportunity to perform some classic fairy tale plays. In 2011 they did “Cinderella”. In 2010 “The Princess and the Pea”. On Monday morning about 10 a.m. a little red truck pulls into our audition sight and two young drama graduate directors begin the start of a fantastic week. He has a vast collection of books ranging from classics to fantasy. Intermixed with his unique drawings are Star Wars collectibles. And like any teenage boy, he enjoys his computer and video games. However, this 14-year-old’s room is also adorned with a few items rarely found in his friends’ or fellow students’ living quarters.
