The Lake Area Community Orchestra was founded over 25 years ago.  Musicians come from as far away as Jefferson City to participate.  LACO attempts to bring their music to all reaches of the Lake area.  Free performances are held on Tuesday evenings at locations ranging from the State Park at Ha Ha Tonka to Russellville during the May to August season.  The Holiday season is restricted to Sunday/Tuesday performances after Thanksgiving and ends the week before Christmas.

The Lake Area Community Orchestra’s mission is to contribute positively to the musical environment of the area community that we serve by providing an entertaining an enjoyable concert experience.  The orchestra is an outlet to provide an opportunity for area musicians to have fun and show their skills.

If you are interested in reviving your instrumental talent the Lake Area Community Orchestra would encourage you to join.  If you simply like to hear a good concert, you are encouraged to come to one of the performances.
